Sewing studio in Poland
Our collection is manufactured by a small studio in Poland. Visiting them is always a pleasure and they always serve us the most delicious tea. More importantly though, they are experts in producing handmade leather products and have been our creative partner for many years, helping us decide questions like: Which leather should we use for which design? How do you create volume in a bag? Which stitching method produces the best quality?
Handicrafts
Keecie stands for personal craftsmanship. That is why we are very happy with our small-scale leather workshop in Poland, where our bags and wallets are handcrafted from start to finish.
The family workshop is run by a married couple, but the father was never able to really say goodbye to his profession, and despite his retirement age he still provides manual services. Good thing, too! In this way he transfers his expertise to a new generation of leather workers.
Love for the profession
Sustainability and craftsmanship are paramount in the sewing workshop, but good working conditions are just as important. The workshop uses a rotation system in which all thirty employees come into contact with all facets of the leather processing process.
It is nice to work with a team that has such a love for the leatherworking profession. And that thinks along with us: in order to make the unique Keecie prints, the employees have learned to screen print.
