Our studio in Poland

Atelier in Poland

Our collection is manufactured by a small sewing studio in Poland that we like to visit. Not only because it is so cozy there and because they serve particularly delicious tea. But especially because they deliver expert craftsmanship and have been thinking with us for years about how our designs can best be executed. Which leather do we use for which design? How do you create volume in a bag? Which stitching method gives the best quality?

In the studio they also take care of the print on the inside of each Keecie design. This requires extra attention and is done with a manual screen printing press. Perhaps that is the secret behind Keecie's success: the entire production process is personal handwork, from start to finish.

Handicraft

Keecie stands for personal craftsmanship. That is why we are very happy with our small-scale leather workshop in Poland, where our bags and wallets are handcrafted from start to finish. The family workshop is run by a couple, but dad has never really been able to say goodbye to his craft, and despite his retirement age, he still provides manual and other services. Fortunately! In this way, he passes on his expertise to a new generation of leatherworkers.

Love for the profession

Sustainability and craftsmanship are paramount at the factory, but good working conditions are at least as important. The studio uses a rotation system in which all thirty employees come into contact with all facets of the leatherworking process. It is nice to work with a team that has such a love for the leatherworking trade. And that thinks along with us: in order to be able to make the unique Keecie prints, the employees learned to screen print with a manual screen printing press.
