KEECIE & COLORS

Keecie enthusiast: Style coach Anique

"I have been a big fan of Keecie bags for years! They are timeless, but not boring, stylish with a vintage feel and those colors.... Years ago I bought the Cat Chase wallet in red, I use it still him every day!

As a Style Coach I work a lot with colors! It is my first starting point; for myself and in my work with women. When you know the colors that suit you, everything becomes easier; choosing, combining and buying!

When I determine someone's best colors during a Style session or Color Analysis I look at several factors. The undertone of the skin: is it warm (yellowish) or cool (pinkish)? I also look at light and dark and bright and muted.

For me, muted (greyed) colours are the most important, so I often combine warm and cool shades with each other. When I use these colours in my clothing, everything combines effortlessly with each other, so you don't have to think long about your outfit!

Recently I have this Dusty Green beauty Move Mountains! So happy me!

Inspiration is on the streets! This summer I went on holiday to Sicily, when you talk about colours they know what to do. The most beautiful colour combinations pass by when you drive through the streets.

One day we drove through a village, not touristy, very quiet and in one street alone I saw so many beautiful pictures. I said to my friend: 'we can come back here sometime to take pictures'. He said: 'why not now? 'No sooner said than done! When I saw this picture, I immediately thought of Keecie! The neutral colors in combination with such a bright green accent!

This way you can also use them in your own clothes; a quiet outfit with a bag like this one the Lunchbreak in the contrasting color Forest! Ideal when you don't like colored clothes. This way you still bring some color into your outfit!

I recently got a laptop (yes really, I'm a late bloomer when it comes to technology ;) and my own Studio. I had my eye on this Back Yard bag before......now I have a good reason to buy it!

Most laptop bags are functional but not pretty, this one has both! I chose the sophisticated light beige shade Cement.

If you use your stuff for a long time (like me) and have an eye for sustainability, it is smart to choose a color that you will not get tired of quickly. This natural shade goes with everything but is not boring or average, because of the light shade it even stands out quite a bit!

The bag has a sober clean look. When you combine it with a design or a structure in your clothing, it creates a nice contrast! Just like the wall in Sicily; play with that; combine two designs in the same shades or play with different structures in fabrics; something woolly with smooth, linen with satin. This way you get tension in your outfit in a different way!

In Sicily you can't avoid it; the warm colours. When you walk through the villages there, you see one beautiful shade after another; from ochre to brick shades, from cognac to beiges....

They have been in fashion for a while now. Especially when the autumn weather is in the shops you see these colours hanging everywhere. The autumn types among us are lucky!

This beautiful warm leather color ....... you will never get tired of it. It fits both in a look with a lot of color, it is then a beautiful counterpart, as well as with an outfit in natural tones. It just depends on what you like and what suits you.

That is what I find most important as a Style Coach! Which colors make you happy, which ones suit your character and do they also match your features? Do they enhance your blue eyes, do they accentuate your red hair, or do they offer a nice contrast to your warm skin?!

Get inspired on the street, in shops, on Pinterest. Play and experiment with colours, but always check if it is really for you and not for someone else! That way you get the most fun out of your colours, because that is what colours are meant for!"

Have fun! Love,

Anique
